DLBP ATTENDS GEORGIA TECH REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE 2024

DLBP Planner, Devynn Glanz, recently had the privilege of attending the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) School of Building Construction and Urban Land Institute’s ‘Real Estate Development Conference 2024: Building Tomorrow’.

This event provided DLBP the opportunity to listen to many brilliant panel discussions on urban planning and real estate related topics, one being from the “Godfather of New Urbanism,” Peter Calthorpe.

Some of the main themes covered by the discussions were:

·      the strategies being put in place to strengthen the revitalization of areas of the Atlanta metropolitan area;

·      the challenges of planning for remote versus in-person working, in both residential and commercial areas of the city;

·      the divergence of growth in the supply of multi-family homes compared to shortfall in supplies of affordable housing; and

·      the integration of new technologies – including AI and smart cities – in the planning and development of towns and cities.

DLBP regularly attends these such events in order to stay up to date with the latest news and developments in the planning and real estate sectors, ensuring that we provide our clients with the best advice and service.
